NSW Wine Awards
About
The NSW Wine Awards were established in 1996 to build awareness of the quality of wines produced in NSW. 2025 will be the 30th annual NSW Wine Awards - a celebration of excellence that keeps getting better and better. As we raise our glasses to three decades of showcasing the best of NSW wines, we're more excited than ever to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent across our 16 diverse regions.
This isn't just an awards show - it's a movement to elevate NSW wines to new heights! By entering your wines, you're not only competing for prestigious recognition but also championing our state's world-class wine industry, and show the world what NSW winemakers can do.
From crisp Chardonnays to bold Shiraz, we're on a quest to crown the cream of the crop in every category. And this year, the stakes are higher than ever - the NSW Wine of the Year will receive the ultimate honour the 'Best Wine in NSW' trophy, presented by our patron Her Excellency The Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley AC KC.
Leading the charge in 2025 is our esteemed Chair of Show, Mr. Adam Walls, backed by a dream team of Australia's top wine judges.

2025 NSW Wine Awards Stewards
Applications for 2025 stewarding positions are currently closed - stay tuned.
Each year at the NSW Wine Awards, positions are available for wine stewards wishing to gain experience in the NSW Wine Industry and the Australian show judging system including the digital Showrunner judging system.
There are 4 stewarding days available each year and 8 stewards required each day. Stewards are required to be on site at 8am and for the whole days judging until completed. Light meals/tea/coffee etc are provided for all stewards during each day and invitations to exclusive judges dinners may also be available to stewards.
As well as the traditional payment of wine (one case per day of stewarding) we also aim to organising some wine judging training for stewards to take place during the judging week, so that this activity is educational for participants, and a useful thing to put on any CV.
