The NSW Wine Industry Association and Langton’s have joined forces to hold the first ever NSW Wine Auction on Friday September 2nd 2016 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
This luncheon is an opportunity for wine lovers to bid on an exclusive collection of wine, some locked away in cellars, as well as amazing wine experiences that are unique. Attendees can expect to uncover hard to find vintages and large format wines from across the State as they rub shoulders with the icons of the NSW wine industry.
Langton’s and the NSW Wine Industry Association will curate lots of wine and wine experiences for an online auction to begin on 19 August, with 28 ‘wow’ lots being auctioned by Andrew Caillard MW live during the luncheon.
Guests will be treated to a three-course lunch prepared by the award winning kitchen team at the Sydney Cricket Ground and accompanied by medal-winning wines from across NSW including Brokenwood, McGuigan, Swinging Bridge, De Iuliis, Lowe Wines, Calabria, De Bortoli and Toppers Mountain with more to be announced.
Entrée will include Yamba king prawns or a Roma tomato and baby basil pesto tarte tatin, with a basil and pistachio crusted salmon, or a grain fed eye fillet of beef for mains. A selection of local cheeses accompanied with nuts, dried fruit and fresh strawberries will conclude the meal.
Jean Kittson will be the Master of Ceremonies for the lunch and will be joined by the talented Plonk team who will interview key personalities in the room such as Bruce & Chris Tyrrell, Neil McGuigan, Mike De Iuliis and David Lowe.
